Diverter Valve Failure

Featured Replies

Well i finally managed to borrow the inspection pit in work to have a look at my car. After taking of the Diverter Valve i found it had a nice tear in the diaphram. Got a replacement one on for now till i get my Forge One.

So if you are thinking of having a remap done then i reckon you seriously consider the new Forge DV

Looks familier.

Is it running better now?

Yes definitely looks familiar but not the worst one I've seen.

I'm guessing your Forge one will be coming soon. ;)

my forge one works perfectly :)

Yes it is a lot better. I could tell i was loosing boost pressure before whereas now it feels like it did on the drive home from JKM;)

hi, is losing boost pressure the easiest way to tell if there is an issue with the valve. is it covered under warranty, one would presume so, unless of course you go to the after market ones.

under warrenty, unless you have a remap etc of course.

apparently the remap is undetectable via the diagnostic port, or is this not in fact true, i have the superchips map

If you have Bluefin and the map is not installed then it is possible it won't be detected unless it increases the flash counter.
