how fast does the vrs go on a top speed run before it starts to run out of steam i.e the point where the accelaration slowes and it takes that bit longer to get that extra 10-20mph

No idea, but I heard on the grapevine that it gets 130 indicated without a problem or any slowing down.

I heard from a friend who has a car very similar to mine:rolleyes: that on a quiet stretch of very straight dual carriageway, he managed to reach 130mph quite easily and then just over 140mph with the speed trailing off. This was on the clock and not in conjunction with a GPS.

ive had my standard 01 vRS sitting at 142mph....just wouldnt go any faster...:(

I find 120 comes reasonably easily, 120-130 is a bit slower (but still reasonable), then 130-140 is a bit slower still. I haven't taken it past 140.
