I love my Octavia

Featured Replies

I'm a retired teacher, have been driving for 43 years and this is my second Skoda.

I loved my Estelle 120 for its quirky character and ability to keep going under any conditions. Now I love my Octavia for her straightforward good behaviour. Very recently I had to have part of her passenger side resprayed to get rid of the VERY offensive 4 letter word that someone, probably a male aged about 15, had scratched onto her. The body shop gave me a 2007 Corsa courtesy car , which made me feel very insecure. It skittered on a recently repaired road surface and it took a long time to get used to the silly indicator stalk. Also it just drank fuel: a 1.2l engine too! I was so glad to get my friend back. I don't do many miles nowadays, but drove to Scotland earlier this summer. I was grateful for the Octavia's fuel economy. I'm off to Germany next week and will probably drive with the display set to show fuel consumption. I just love this car. I had a strroke 4 years ago and after I got my driving license back, she helped build my confidence again. I plan to keep her a long time. She's not like the cars my other older women friends drive, but is a real lady. Mind you she can be a tiger, which my son-in-law likes.

Hiya.

I get where you're coming from, about both Octys and the V@*xh@11 C0r$@. Just why does anyone buy cars as utterly loathsome to drive as FWD V@*xh@11s?

Hello & welcome

I have an octy loan car as my vRs is in the dealers, great car to drive.

Somewhere buried in my very cluttered house, I have a set of pictures, from Skoda Mlada Boleslav, which includes the original Octavia from about 1920 if I remember rightly. I really must find those pictures. they were given to me in memory of my father, who was a Czech war hero

I'm too old a lady for your poem really. The Octavia doesn't have an old lady car image, but she's so civilised.
