I was watching the evening news last night and there was a piece about the new Jaguar XF, I was amazed to see they have pinched (see pic) the chrome headlight washer of our beloved Superb, Dont know if this is an insult or an compliment!

Didn't Jaguar have this on the XKR before the SuperB?

The first time I saw pictures of this Jag, I thought Volvo - which seems a bit strange - a bit like good old BMC - ie competing with its own "brothers" - thought Ford Europe would be a bit smarter than that!!

LOL.........I wouldn't say they have pinched it.......Jaguar S-Type had this a long time before the Superb came out and all these headlamps have something in common......they were all designed and made by Hella with both Jaguar Model lamps being designed in the same office I work in!!!

The XF Headlamp, Trunklamp and Fenderlamp were all designed and are being made by Hella.

The Headlamp Washer Chrome Cover is a 'standard' part for most cars, just comes in different shapes and sizes....

Think the rear lights of this jag look quite a lot like the ones on the new superb spyshots though!

I thought that too, but after making such an ar*e of myself with the original thread I thought best to keep quite!

:iagree: It has always been on the XK8/R.

An ex girlfriend's dad had an early XK8 and that must have been in 1997 - before she passed her test and dumped it in a hedge (she diddnt have his permission to take it for a drive either)

LOL......nah you didn't make and ar*se of yourself mate......how were you supposed to know that both headlamps were designed and made by the same company??!?!?!?

The rearlamps are a similar design but the XF rearlamps are all LED and IIRC the Superb's are not..........this look of the lamp is common place now though with one rearlamp consisting of a 'Fenderlamp and a Trunklamp'......these lamps also look similar to the new Mondeo rearlamps....
