My VRS WRC, What's it worth?

Featured Replies

Sorry for another of these posts!

Please, No comments on how sad or under the thumb I am!!!:thumbdwn:

SWMBO is currently convincing me that we should buy a caravan, to do so would mean selling my VRS.

I am reluctant but also favour an easy life!!;)

I was wondering what difference or any being the WRC version would have on the value?

2004/53 reg with 49000 miles

WRC 77/100 - destickered but with usual WRC mods.

FSH (serviced at 46200)

Standard WRC spec all bar a new Pipercross filter.

Thanks

I didn't know any of the WRC's were 2004! Most are 2002/3.

If it was complete (with stickers) then I think it would appeal to an enthusiast more, with it having the stickers removed it's a bit of an odd ball IMHO. That said, it's still a vRS and still has all the spec' so I would say somewhere around £7,500-£8,000ish.

Thanks Phil, I think mine was the last one registered!

That sort of money should get a decent caravan!!!

Mine's a 52, registered Jan 2003. A lot seem to be 02 plates. You should get a good used caravan for 7-8k, but don't forget to buy something to pull it with too :P

Thanks  I'll give it a go on ebay as they have free listings on cars this weekend.

keep the car and buy a tent. lol

just an 04 vrs seems to be going for the £7 to £8k bracket so you should do ok.

good luck

cheers

Dont sell...

Join my little 'Vrs and caravan club' so that I'm not the only one! Honestly they tow like a dream

A vrs linked to a caravan? That's just wrong!

Bloody hell!! I never thought I would see a VRS towing!

We already have a tent but the good lady wants the comfort of the caravan especially with our 2 little darlings!

We have found a cracking caravan for 4k and will look to spend the rest on a good towing car.

Hopefully I'll find a decent Octavia diesel with this money.

I've just stuck it on Pistonheads at 7.5 and then checked prices of others listed on there.

Seems like this is a good buy in comparison with others, I will wait and see.

Don't be fooled by my photo, I don't even have a towbar on the Octy :D I was just being daft whilst taking some bedding back to the caravan at it's storage site :P

Number 71 is on Pistonheads for 7k. It's a 2002 with 59k on the clock.

A vrs towing is not wrong:P

When i've got my caravan on the back, i tend to outdrag all the caravns which is a small personal victory when towing at a max of 65mph! Trust me when I say I would'nt be without my VRS for towing:thumbup:

Cool - can you make good speed up an moderate incline or do you crawl along at 30 with artics bitting at the bit to get past?

Just checked again. I didn't go as far as page 3!

I listed mine as rare and there are 2 for sale on the same site!!!!

Well they are comparatively rare, its just pistonheads harbours the enthusiasts!
