Lookers honda just offered me £10,300 for my se. 8000 miles on the clock. Immaculate. Is he havin a laugh or is this reasonable?

I dont really know what I should be asking for it. Think Im gonna pay up and advertise it on here. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Depends if you want to sell it or not! What are you looking at getting?

Steve

It's difficult to put a price on such a new car. Closest Glass's get is a std vRS, on a 2007 56-plate with your mileage. On this information, I might be looking for £11k?

Skoda Fabia vRS

1.9TD Diesel 5-door Hatchback

6 Speed Manual Front Wheel Drive

Year: 2007 56

Mileage: 8,000

Part-exchange Price:

Excellent condition:

£10400

Average condition:

£9480

Below average condition:

£8340

Well, I guess the mileage is a little 'high' for such a new car. Their part ex figure needs to allow a nice mark up for them though.

You'd certainly be better off selling it privately though. I'd have thought you could get £12k for it if you find someone who really wants an se - if the mileage was lower that is!

The wifes just left so I'm tryin to use up some disposable income. Lookin at a Tamora but worried about reliability. TT or boxster maybe as i've already had an

s2000. The dealer told me he was havin difficulty valuing the car car as well. Just thought he was givin me the usual garble.

I guess he could sell it for £11.5k with that mileage and he'd want £1k mark up, so the 10.3k - £10.5k region makes some sense for him.

I don't see a problem with the mileage personally. It's not even run in yet :)

Yep, certainly go for a private sale - here or Pistonheads would be my advise.

I never said it was a 'problem', but it obvioulsy affects the vlaue of the car. It's more 'used' than one with 1500miles on etc.

Will defo try the private sale. Not looked at pistonheads yet. Think i'll bang it on for about £11500 ono and see what happens. Got to sign up for this freedom member thingy. Cheers boys!!!!!

Valuation sounds a little bit low but as I found when buying my VRS the px value varies against what you're buying.

My girlfriends brother has a Tamora - really excelent altough he has had to part with quite a bit of cash to keep it going!

If you're feeling reckless go for a tvr, otherwise s2000/boxster/elise are all very nice imo.

I'd try and hold out for the full £11.5k, any lower than that and it's a steal IMO!!!

I'll do you a straight swop for my silver 06 with 12.5K miles.

Mine should be easier to price :D:rofl:

if anything, SE's are hoooot... dealer up north who sold 0001 actually made profit as as 13010 new... they made a profit selling for a lot more lol

besides, most dealers are just selling them as new because its SE, sell like hot cakes and everyone wants one... apparently... ;)

I don't think it's the same for honda dealers though.

i got even less for my C2 when skoda garage (who partners with citroen garage elsewhere), wanted to give me 3500, the lowest out of all garages! gutted

13K new, done 8,000 miles which to lot of drivers is nearly a years milage already and they are offering you 10.5K for it, sounds fair to me.

at the end of the day its only a blue fabia with leather.

heres one on pistonheads for over £12k

Skoda : VRS SE

i'd be looking for a bit more than £10,300 for an SE and given the fact they are limited you will find a buyer at a good price.
