Airbag light on !

Featured Replies

As part of my stereo install (vRS tfsi), I had to take out the glove box.

Didn't think anything of it as I had a mobile phone fitted last week and the fitter said he'd removed the glove box with no problems.

I've done the same but now the airbag light is on the dash. (Yes I did remove the connector from the keyed on/off switch)

A quick search on here tells me I need to visit the dealer to have something reset and the light turned off... doh.

Is there anything I can do myself to get the light off, and if not is the dealer likely to charge for turning it off?

Thanks.

Either dealer or someone with VAG COM.

I did the same! Popped the car into the dealer and they did it for me whiel I waited, and for no charge...

Same here, dealer has done it with no charge

Thanks for the replies.

Called the dealer this morning, took it down at dinner and all is well again.

Top service from the dealers. Smiles, politeness and quick response. All for free.

Can't ask for more.
