Re circ fan on all the time?

Featured Replies

Hi,

few issues cropping up recently.

one of them is that on setting 2 on the fan on cold or hot without re-circ on there is a louder than normal blowing noise comign from teh passenger side of the car. Sounds as if re-circ is on but it's not.

If I do turn re-circ on then the noise gets louder, like as if re-circ has increased.

could this be a blockage in the blower system or filter? (where is the filter for the pollen?) maybe this could be the pollen filter?

very annoying as I remember at level 2 it was quiet it was only at 3 that I could normally here there blowers.

any advice or thing I could easily check?

I'd pop the pollen filter out, see if itss blocked or its not seated properly.

There is a guide to removing the filter on here.

pollen filter accessable from under the glovebox area close to the front part of the centre console , slide the 2 clips back , then the cover should drop off , pull the filter out

thanks Lummox, always great advice from yourself.

Put something over the carpet first - you'll be amazed how much tumbles out.

I have taken the pollen filter out and it's looks fine. bit grey bit nothing trapped.

not sure what else the noise could be. maybe me eyes have become sensitive to the noise and I hear it worse than it actually is.

Did you try running the fans with the pollen filter out? Would be interesting to see if it affected the noise as it may have just been badly seated?

If you are hearing with your eyes, maybe you need to clean the wax out of your ears?
