Leather Re trim

Featured Replies

Hello all, I new to the forum and indeed to owning a Skoda. I have recently purchased an 04 Vrs (registered in March of that year), very happy with it, but the drivers seat is fraying. I am assuming I cant get this fixed under warrenty as I assume it will have expired, so was wondering if anyone knows of anywhere in Northern Ireland I can get either new cloth re trim to the seats or even leather. I have searched the forums and see that Seat Surgeon in York are a popular choice, but then I have to get the car there and home, could be costly enough.

Thanks for your reply.

Oh I bought it for 7.5k with 50k on the clock, was this a good deal.

Dealer or private sale?

Dealer, I actually traded in my Clio 182 Cup, didnt like it, white stripes, very hard on fuel, the guy put a years tax on it, and gave me £200 + Fabia for my Clio. Was happy enough, just glad to get rid of the Clio, it attracked way too much attention, and most of my driving is motorway driving, so at 75mph in 5th gear (only a 5 speed car) the engine screamed, very annoying after a while.

Just to give you an Idea - I traded my 06 Plate fabia vRS with 32,000 miles on her and a huge key mark down the side for 8,750... Hope this helps.

Cool, I only paid 8k for the Clio, so not really loosing that much, and I have just taxed it, so will get most of the £205 tax with the rebate, plus insurance is due soon, and the clio was group 16, didnt fancy coughing up the £660 my insurance firm was quoting. Any ideas about the seats though?
