i bought this the other day

but as far as i am aware it wont fit into the bak of my stereo, i have a fabia vrs 05 with a symphony head unit, will it work by plugging into the cd changer ( i dont have 1) or do i have to go out and buy an adapter

Sounds like it should from reading the blurb. I've been running an Alpine changer through my Symphony HU using one of those adaptors for three years not without any issues. The only installation problem I had was finding space to fit the adaptor box behind the HU. I managed to tuck it in tidily enough eventually, but it looks like there's a bit more to the iPod adaptor than I had to find spaced for!

BTW, I found that you can run cables quite neatly either out through a gap near the footwell vent, or (might be better for what you want it for) behind the big flat plastic bit that runs down the side of the footwell and up towards the gearstick...

Looking at the Connects2 website, it seems that you need CTASKIPOD001 - Connects 2,Car Audio integration specialists

On the Low Cost site its Low Cost Car Audio | iPod | Connects2 | Connects2 CTASKIPOD001 - Skoda iPod Adapter - unfortunately at £89.99 its a bit more than the one you bought!

True, but the black plug next to the RCA connectors looks very much like the changer plug for the Symphony HU. I'm assuming the adaptor box has RCA output, but could be wrong...
