Hi I have a 55 1.9tdi elegance h/back, and am considering getting it chipped after the warranty expires next year. However, we are thinking of getting a tow bar installed to tow a trailer tent. Will this combination be too much strain for the engine or will the chipping help. Thanks.

On a side point will the tow bar interfere with the reversing sensors?????

The remap will offer you more torque which is ideal for towing.

The rear parking sensors, if factory fit, can be adjusted to take account of a towbar.
