By how much do you think it could increase mpg if driven sedately i know it will never get any where near the fab with it being petrol

A prominent member on here has had some very impressive mpg results from a mapped OctyII vRS petrol, upto 38mpg on a run to Scotland iirc. 38mpg may be a little optimistic to achieve on a regular basis but certainly in excess of 30mpg is feasible but if you drive like a hooligan like me then expect to average around 27mpg.

May be a good option then who would you recommend

I have a std TFSI vRS and get 35 - 38 on motorway runs, including morning rush hour stop start and around 10 miles or so at each end driving through towns.

Just on town driving alone it does around 20 to 25 over short distances, and when booting it a bit less.

Not much of a hooligan if you're getting figures as high as that ;)

why buy a VRS if your going to drive it sedatley? If its just the looks of the car and your bothered about MPG why not by a vrs Diesel???

Because i've got a bit p'd off with the black smoke the furby pushes out and also its down to initial cost as for driving it sedately if i get 6 penalty points on my licence (or less in some cases) i lose my job hence the need to keep a clean licence
