German Diesel enthusiast - just bought a Fabia vRS

Featured Replies

Just thought I should introduce myself. I've always been a bit of a VW/Skoda/Audi diesel guy, and bought myself a Polo SDI (64 bhp...) two years back. Though the car has served me well, I've always aspired to getting a Fabia vRS. After two years of being overtaken by KA's, Fiestas, Vans, Buses, Tractors, Milkfloats, and entering motorways at 20mph because the sliproad is steep, I finally bought a Fabia vRS.

My friend bought the Polo GT/TDI not long after I bought my Polo, furthering my misery. For those in the know, it's the same 130bhp TDI PD engine. The torque it chucks out is incredible. Unlike most sport cars, it's useful torque. And he gets the diesel efficiency for those long journeys. What a perfect combo.

I should be picking her up on Tuesday. I'll post back here with photos and some commentary. Great little community I've found here! :)

The Polo is a nice car, but way too expensive. when I looked at one the used ones were more expensive than a new vRS.

Enjoy.

Yep - Some of those M4 sliproads around Swansea are very short and very steep.

Welcome. :D

I went to uni in Swansea so know all about that bit. Trying to get up those sliproads in a P.O.S old nissan micra 1 litre was not fun! :D
