Hi Folks,

picked up an ex-demo vRS last week - it's just under a year old, so I think it's the current model? very impressed and pleased with it.

Anyway - it has the blaupunkt satnav system... a couple of questions...

1. can anyone tell me exactly what blaupunkt system the satnav is, should I wish to order newer maps for it from navshop (or is it best done through skoda?)
   
2. the TMC function appears inactive - the TMC indicator always seems to be inactive and I cannot select dynamic routing (greyed out).. any explanations for this? (On my previous saab it picked up TMC from Classic FM, but even tuned to this station the satnav does not seem to pick it up...) Any ideas how to get it working?

apologies for any obvious ignorance - this is my first skoda...

I believe you need a TMC enabled disc. I think this is the latest Buy Blaupunkt TravelPilot maps online: United Kingdom - Ireland ITIS

Now called ITS. It is the DX one and should fit a MFD also.

I did wonder because I have a friend who had a renault that supposedly supported TMC, but wasn't licensed... (not that I ever found it that useful in the past, always seemed to be a few hours out of date)..

Can I ask what MFD is? (does it mean multifunction display? is the blaupunkt in the skoda a TravelPilot DX in disguise?)

Sorry I don't know exactly what MFD stands for.

I would guess at Multifunction Display or Multifunction device.

Skoda also refer to it as Nexus as well.
