does anyone know what engine i could put in my skoda favorit its got a 1.3 in atm err cars 95 got a lot of vw stuff onit. . . . :confused:

Another 1.3 is the only easy option.

You could use the same gearbox with the 1.6 AEE from a Felicia or Polo, but the engine mounts are different.

I have seen a 2.8 Cosworth engine in a Favorit before!!!

any thing from a felicia i think. so 1.3spi, 1.3mpi, 1.6mpi (aee), 1.9d

for the 1.6 and 1.9. you would need new springs to match them. and a new gear box for the oil burner.

or if your using the oil burners cog box, you might as well put a 20v turbo in!!!!!

Nope, anything other than the 1.3 isn't a straight swap unfortunately - engine mounts are in the wrong places.

well im not too bothered about having to make changes for mounts... saw a favorit last nite with a golf gti engine in, would that be a hard job ?

Best bet would be to stick a 1.3 MPi in from a felicia me reckons... will make your life a whole lot easier!
