Fabia vRS wheel spacers

Featured Replies

I was wondering what's the maximum thickness of wheel spacers I can put on the car with standard vRS wheels (without rubbing issues)?

As far as I see it I shouldn't put any spacers on because although there is about 18mm between the wheel arch and the tire, there is a step in the wheel arch obout 20mm above. And as I see it if I put spacers on, the tyre will rub against this step. (hope you understand what I'm trying to say:) )

If you've not lowered it to the extreme, then 15mm eibach hubcentrics are very good spacers. I have them on the front so my wheels clear my brembos, and on the back to match front to back. :) I'm lowered about 40mm and don't have any rubbing issues until I get about 3 people + luggage in the back. Front never rubs.

I've got standard suspension and I would put spacers only on the rear...

Is the rear track on the fabia like the Ibiza/Polo - 15mm narrower than the front?

Is the rear track on the fabia like the Ibiza/Polo - 15mm narrower than the front?

i would imagine so, the rear beam is exactly the same on all three cars. Only thing that may be different is the offset of the wheels.

Track on the vrs:

front 1432 mm

rear 1422 mm

10mm, I was close :D

My rear has 20mm spacers, the track is now 1462mm, so the rear is 15mm wider each side! Handles better!

My car feels better on 15mm spacers, but I think my front bushes are shot, so need new ones which will improve handling no end I reckon. :)

Just done those too, cupra ones, tracking needs doing again though!
