Hello folks

Featured Replies

I am the proud owner of an 06 race blue Octy VRS. I bought it last year from Pulleyns in York. I believe they are now Martin Beevers.

I have a tale to tell. The morning arrived, I took my little lad (4) to pick up my shiny new steed. I waved goodbye to my old black VRS, which I traded in. I then walked in to the showroom with Harry, he was giddy as a kipper at the thought of having a new car.

We sat down to finalise the details, insurance etc. The salesman took us out to the car, parked on the forecourt, looking pristine. I sat Harry in his car seat in the front, and turned the ignition. It was at this point that I noticed it had no fuel in, so I pointed this out to the salesman. He said OK take it to the pump and I will fill it up for you. I closed the door put it into gear, let my foot of the clutch and took the side out of it against a bloody great white bollard.

What a *******. Insured for fully 10 mins. New drivers side door, new sill, new wing. Harry was in tears, and I was very close. Pulleyn's took the car into their bodyshop in Haxby. I was not happy with the first attempt, so I showed it to a guy who works for the Audi body shop in Newcastle. He pointed out a few flaws. The second attempt was much better. I can still tell it has been done because the paint finish has a glassier finish than the factory paint.

Still, its a great car and I still enjoy driving it and Harry's tears have long since dried.

Oof. That's got to go down as one of the quickest accidents in history, before you even got out the dealer!

I wonder how many times your story's been told to their customers.....

Sorry for your woes, hope you continue to enjoy the car.

All the best

Ouch! an auspicious start to Octy II ownership, I supose thing could only get better after that.

Welcome :wavey:
