Angel Tuning

Hello,

I was think about getting a remap on my fabia VRS. I came across the angel tuning site an the price seems pretty good (£300). I was wondering if anyone has used them or if anyone has anyother recomendations.

Cheers

Alan

I was looking too, dont seem too bad for 180bhp remap, concerned about the amount of soot it will put out

Yes, many on here have used them including myself and been very pleased indeed with the results ! :)

Try using the boards search function do a search for "Angel Tuning".

Bought my car new, remapped it with angel tuning after 6000 miles, now done 30000 after 2 years.

No problems at all, pulls really well especially in 6th, the difference is staggering.

 Go for it!!

Another tuning firm to have a wee look at, the price is not too bad either.

hiya mate.

was that a custom remap or a generic one?

how much did it cost and what sort of figures do you get now?

do you get much soot.... have you had any clutch problems?

Had my wife's Stilo 3-door (petrol) remapped by Angel. Delighted with the result and level of service. Recommended.

Don't want to sound like a sales man for them, but spoke to them a while back. They also do a switchable remap. Think it was £500 for one remap + original using a dongle. They also buy back the dongle for £75 once you sell the car.

Angel also do really good discounts if you group together. Wanting to get mine done, but think I'll have to wait til the insurance is next due (Dec time)

IIRC

2-3 cars - 10%

4-5 cars - 20%

Joel: apparently 180bhp ;)

where are angel located?

They have branches across the country. Although Nige the gaffer works around Leamington Spa unless they've moved.

Used them myself on the Punto, very good service.

Think they have 2 / 3 main garages. But they'll come to you for a remap, think they have several agents located around the UK.

Mine is done by Angel tuning... nige did mine..... very good service, and the car is world of differnce now! 17,000 miles and no problems....

i used AT on my old punto, unless theyve completely changed the way they remap cars, i will not be using them ever again. Im not going to go into detail becaue they arent here to defend themselves but i would not believe their power claims either

If people are up for doing it I would add my name for a group buy from Angel. If we could get 20% off I would probably go for the switchable version.

Its a generic one as they recommended. They said you could have more power but at expense of MPG and more soot.

No problems with the clutch.

I do have soot as I pass through 1500 rpm in top gear, but never noticed pre remap.

My MPG went down 2 mpg around town and up 2 mpg on long journeys.

Its well worth doing.

Paid just over £300 and they come to you.:)

I was thinking of trying to setup a group buy, gonna check my insurance co. first. With Admiral and I hear they're not to fond of remaps :thumbdwn:

Oh and 25% discount for 6+ cars. Works out at £225 for Fabia vRS

It's a very good price indeed. Plus if your looking to make up numbers, worth posting on The FIAT Forum - For Talk On All Things FIAT as you'll probably find some punto owners who want a cheap remap!

Ha, that was a thread I started about Admiral and remaps. I will probably just leave them if we could do a GB remap for £225. Don't know how the GB thing works, can we do it as an official Briskoda one?

im up for the group but as i was lookin at AT myself already after a recommendation from someone on here.

It'd be unofficial as it wouldn't be organised by Briskoda, I don't mind doing the legwork, of course it depends on what the 'clowns' say when I call them tomorrow.

Think I've read something about them doing a maximum of 5 a day, so that'd mean only a 20% discount. Still not bad! :)

That's good of you, thank you. If we can get 20+% off then put me down. If you do call, could you also see whether they will do 20% off the switchable on a group buy?
