A few things...

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Currently working my way through the list of issues I have with my car.

Ordered some new Aero wipers this morning from wioerblades.co.uk as mine are juddering again now the cold weather has set in. They were fine the other day when it was warm......

I think the dealer supplied Valeo wipers are cr4p to be honest. They've only lasted 8 months. The wear indicator triangle things are showing too. Roll on Aero's. :D

Wiperblades.co.uk were out of stock so I emailed them to ask when they'd be getting some more in. Within 2 mins they were phoning me and they said they'd had some returned from someone who'd ordered them in error. I got them instead at 15% discount to be delivered tomorrow. Brilliant service.

Anyway, my other issues relate to squeaks and rattles. They are as follows:

1. O/S rear headreast rattles in its guides - it makes a Brrrrrr noise at certain rpm. If you thump the rear seat you can replicate it. I need to make it a tighter fit in it's guides within the seat. Any ideas how you'd do this?

2. Something in my boot door is buzzing at certain rpm and over rough surfaces. I need to remove the boot door panel covering the motor etc to see what's going on in there. How do I do this? It seems very well held on.....

3. I think my N/S rear light cluster is squeaking against the rear bumper. I've had the thing off before and lubed up the rubber nipply things underneath it but it's still there.

Anyone else had this? Everytime the car flexes slightly it creaks, and that's quite often.

That's it for now. :D

Cheers,

Chris.

Hi Mate, my wipers are juddering as well but going to get them sorted when I take the car in for a 1 month check in the next couple of weeks, (hopefully free of charge as they should have checked this on the car before selling it)

the boot door panel just pulls off with a bit of brute force!

Are there many clips holding it on?

There is something much better than these. Take a look at this;

About 15 clips holding the rear trim on. It takes some force to pull off and you might break some of the clips in the process if your not careful. Its a bugger to get back on though. U got to line it up without being able to see where the clips go then with the palm of you hand bosch each one in turn till they have all clicked home. If that makes sense

how about wrapping a thin layer of insulting tape around the headrest post??

Might be a wee diffecult to force in, and will prolly never come out again

You missed off number 4 Brakes knocking when changing from forwards to reverse :P

Thought as much. Not looking forward to it, but then again it is driving me insane with all the buzzes and rattles. Might try masking tape on the rear headrest posts. It could be a bit thinner and may just pad it out a bit. :D

No idea on the rear cluster thing though. That thing squeaks like mad.

wiper wear indicators? are those the yellow triangles you can see from the driver seat?

Them's the ones. UV based I think.
