I purchased textile floor mats and rubber floor mats from my Skoda dealership. They have instructions that show them attaching to each other via plastic screws.

But then it is not clear how they would attach to the floorboard. The dealership says they have no idea. I think there should be pegs installed in the floorboard at the factory, like in Audi's and VW's.

Does anyone know about this or have floorboard pegs for mats in their 07 Octavia?

The plastic "pegs" just screw into the carpet. Lay your mat on the floor, mark the carpet though the holes with a piece of chalk and then just screw the pegs in.
