Taking Off Seat Covers

Featured Replies

Has Anybody Ever Attempted To Take Off The Seat Covers On Their Fabia. I Have The Workshop Manual And It Looks Okay But The Big Question Is Do They Go Back On Okay After A Cold Wash In The Bowl.

Need To Make A Decision As Car Still Smells Of Smoke And The Covers Need A Good Clean.

Also Where Can I Get The Right Sized Tool To Remove The Seat From The Runners ?

I've taken the base cover off to repair SWMBO's heated seat (twice) which wasn't too difficult. I'm told that the back cover might be more challenging but I'd give it a go if I had to ! :D

This thread might help ?

The base is a piece of cake as it is just clipped in around the edge with a few 'hog rings' around the inside.

The back however is a right pain and unless you are pretty skilled at it it will end up looking like a wrinkly elephants leg.

I did mine with a portable steamer like they use for curtains, worked a treat. Just beware if the seats are heated.
