Hmmmm, just spotted on Skoda's website there is a remote central locking upgrade for the Mk1 Octy. And wondered if anyone had actually had it done using the genuine kit?

And was wondering if accessories were still available for it? Anyone recently been to a dealer for some?

I want remote central locking as I think its one of the things my car is lacking, and I love just being able to walk up to a car and it being open, that and the fact you can have abit of top gear fun and see how far away you can open the car!

Remote locking was standard on mine (52 reg Elegance), and works from quite huge distances (with new batteries, I confidently expect to be able to lock the car from 60 feet away).

So the kit's all good stuff, but I've no idea what would be involved in fitting it to your car.
