Who is lowered up to 40mm with no alloy sump?

Featured Replies

I have been looking at lowering my car 35-45 mm on coilovers (Undecided how far) as the eibach springs dont look low enough for my tastes. However, have not done so because I am worried about the sump guard being only thin plastic.

Do any people have their car lowered this far with no alloy sump guard? If so, how far is it lowered, and for how long has it been that low? any hits or scrapes???

Cheers

Stu

Hating the fact alloy sump guards are in such short supply!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:thumbdwn:

The plastic undertray isnt a sump guard, its purely for sound deadening.

Had mine -70mm for months. Never really hit it, only scraped a few times and that was when I was getting into Motocross tracks.

Lower it and worry about it later ;)

Im currently rolling this low

how low are you now? So going on normal roads and driving sensibly 40mm should be ok?

Sump sits about 6cm off the floor. Dropping 40mm you should be fine, even on the most uneven country roads
