VRS gone replaced by Audi A3

Featured Replies

After almost 12 months of VRS ownership i felt like a change and bought an A3 2.0TDI sport. It seems much smoother and quieter BUT not as quick or as much fun to drive. I wonder if anybody else on here has gone down this route and if so their longer term impressions. The VRS had done almost 70k miles if it had done less i would have remapped it.The A3 has done slightly fewer miles (57k)and i might have it remapped. I intend to stay on this forum as it is still by far the most interesting.

I've raced an A3 2.0 TDI and you're right, they are not quite as quick but by such a tiny margin it's not really worth worrying about. They do handle better though......I gradually left him on the straight but as soon as I hit the first corner I filled my pants and he was up my chuff again in no time.

Me is thinking an A3 will be my next car.

Not too big, and not too small, dieselly, and tuneable.

That is unless the Mad Wife lets me spend money on my vRS...
