Just about to leave my Octavia VRS TDI in for it's first service, it's on varible servicing and has covered 18K in little over a year. What all needs to be done at the first service and what sorta total cost. Just want to have a rough idea so my dealer doesn't try and fleece me on the cost.

1st variable should be an oil and filter (maybe a pollen filter) and quick inspection. Labour time is 0.9 hours.

So probably £180 max i'd say.

mine cost £163 and they also did the panel filter too which was pretty grubby

I will dig out the receipt later to confirm, but mine was around £200 - £220 IIRC (and was required around 38k miles).

Might need to add on £40ish for a brake fluid change too.

Already done the brake fluid before I went to Europe.

My 2nd year fixed [at about 16500] was £184 incl. brake fluid, but using semi synthetic engine oil
