Wheel + tyres,

Featured Replies

Evening all,

To cut a long story short. I have just been in a big pot hole :thumbdwn: , buckled one wheel and ripped 1 tyre open. Not to fussed about tyre as need 2 new ones n e way.

The question is this, how much should I expect to pay at the garage for 2 new standard tyres, aka the ones u get with it (goodyears? are they?) and a new wheel?

Cheers chaps,

ohh and I will be chasing the council for the cost dont worry....

Ohh ,and yes its a Vrs

good luck with the council... I bust a tyre on a pothole (thankfully not the wheel too) and reported the pothole and tried to claim with no luck... if the road in question has been checked within the correct schedule, they don't have to pay..... If it hasn't you may be lucky.....

still, councils pay out more in comp than they spend mending the roads... you'd think someone working at a council could do some maths......

Right had this happen to a friend. He got comp! Get yourself back to pothole with Spirit level/straight edge, 1m Rule & Digi' cam. Photograph hole with rule to give dimensions & depth and position in carriageway (multiple angles), better if it was unnoticeable 'till too late & unavoidable due to oncoming and following traffic. Use Poetic license re: serious RTC could have occurred and finally the best of luck Good photo's really help your case!! And again good luck
