New Fabia as a courtesy car

Featured Replies

I took my Octy vRS in for a new cambelt/tensioner/waterpump/front disks and pads today (£625:eek: ). Anyway while I was being done the stealer loaned me a new Fabia 1.2 in ghastly blue. Apart from the colour I was quite impressed and quite enjoyed the experience. It sounded as though they had tuned the induction roar to sound like a Ferarri...or was that the valve bounce????

Hehe, the 1.2 always sounded good and I read somewhere they had made some modifications to the latest one to make it sound better still.

Looking at the power and torque curves of the new 70BHP and 60BHP versions of this engine, it's quite impressive how much they improved the top end power and torque without affecting the economy or emissions at all.

I must try one some time.

I can confirm the eager nature of the re-worked 1.2 70bhp engine. It sounds good and is economical (48mpg so far over the first 600 miles).

As a cost effective package the Fabia 2 in 1.2 70bhp guise must be hard to beat. It certainly knocks spots off the equivalent Polo.

i too have had one as a courtesy car, the mk2 fabia is so much better put together than the mk1 and you never grow tired of listening to the engine note.
