Help!How can I enable "Fuel Stratified Injection"function?

Featured Replies

I have a new Octavia car use 1.8TFSI engine. The engine type is BYJ and I can't find any engine long code information by Internet. unfortunately, "Fuel Stratified Injection"function is normally off by manufactory. How can I enable "Fuel Stratified Injection"function by modify the engine long code? Anybody know that? Need help and response from all of you.

Why would the manufacturer spend millions designing the FSI engine only to turn it off???

Seems odd to me

Strange as it seems there is quite a bit of talk of this.

Anything to do with the noise attributed to the FSI system?

Do tell us more ;)

yes do tell more, i thought the FSI bit kicked in at over 3k rpm

stratified injection is a mechanical thing  it's to do with the shape of the piston crown and the way the fuel is injected directly into the cylinder... if it was switched off the engine would.... erm.... switch off too

maybe it's something to do with the injection timing???
