putting the cable over the roof is about as rough as an installation gets, its absolutely terrible and very lazy.

finally got Sky HD installed this afternoon

after a bit of a reality check we've now got a 1080 LG plasma as well...XBOX 360 looks all different kinds of awesome all over again, and everything HD just looks the business (Planet Earth is series linked )

I was in Comet earlier looking for some Wii stuff and I stumbled across a very nice Sony 1080HD jobbie with a Sky HD box showing american chopper on Discovery HD.

I stood there for about 20 minutes dribbling at the picture quality until SWMBO dragged me away from it, stunning!.

(secretly she wants HD too :P)

So my xmas list is:

42" 1080HDTV (The LG 42 incher looks really good and it was under a grand)

Sky HD

PS3.

Looks like it'll be socks again this year

yeah, our LG cost £899. we were planning a pioneer all singing all dancing that admitidly looked awesome but it also cost £3500 and i can't see now that it was £2600 better than the one we have, skyHD really is awesome :eek:

I've been looking at tv below to replace my current 32" CRT

the only thing i can fault this LG TV on is it takes a little while(about 5 seconds or so) to switch inputs but i'll get used to it. very good especially for the money

not bad but i have yet to see an LCD that is good as a Plasma

I Have V+ and i can say i have never had an issue with it at all, but as i work for them if i do have an issue i sort it myself so i dont have to deal with the poor Customer service

my mate just got his first bill from virgin media...it's all wrong and he spent his whole lunch break on the phone to them tring to get it sorted out :thumbdwn: i did warn him
