Cigarette Lighter - has the bulb blown ?

Featured Replies

Guys and Gals,

Silly question, well 2 really, 1 - is the cigarette lighter illuminated ? and 2 if so, how do you change the bulb ? Your help would be much appreciated :)

yes, it's illuminated but no idea how you change the bulb....sorry

Yes, its illuminated, my bulb has blown a few days ago and i tried to change the bulb with no success, as a matter of fact i managed to pull out the cigarette lighter compartement and all that i was able to see there was the cables and the green plastic, no sign of bulb??!! This is the second time it happens on my O2, the first time got it fixed by my dealer...so i guess they´ll have to do it again...

its not a led is it??

1. does the ciggy lighter its self still work?

2. the handbox and the card in teh fuse box should list which fuse does what.

Slider, yes my lighter still works, so I assume that if the lighter still works then the fuse for it must be ok. Hmmmm just wonder how its illuminated then, I remember on older cars I've had that there used to be a holder for the bulb on the outside of the lighter but by reading Mrki77's comments, this isn't the case now

i'd be interested if anybody has any further info - i was moaning about mine being on not long after i got the car because i kept thinking it was my phone but now the bulb has gone i really miss the little b stard.

FYI the fuse (no. 24 - a 25A one) blew on our cigarette lighter / accessory power, but it still lights up :)

does that mean theres another fuse for the light to it?

Mine isn't illuminated and never has been to my knowledge.

Can anyone with a MY08 car confirm thier socket lights up?

Whats MY08 mean?

Nevermind I searched for it!
