Interior fuel smell?

Featured Replies

I have noticed these past few days that I'm been get some high petrol fumes inside my car, so thats in the mornings, and when i leave from work and even when i have left it alone for a few hours. As soon as i get in the car, i get this fuel smell... though not sure if its because i had my air ducts cleaned over the weekend when i had my diamondbrite applied... any ideas?

Petrol fumes in a diesel..... Well at least you know the car isn't leaking fuel.

I think the base coat for DiamondBrite can smell a bit fuelly.

Had this on my old Nova. Turned out to be a split fuel tank.........it did add to the driving experience though! Lovely smell :)

Is it a diesel smell or just a solvent/petrol smell?

think its solvent/petrol, thought diesel smelt similar? just smells very fuely (if such word)... but could be the diamondbrite? but mate simon had same stuff applied from same guy and he had no issues

It'll be the diamondbrite stage 1 you're smelling, It'll pass inside of a week. You'll get to know the smell of diesel through time. Next time you fill up don't use a glove. When finished sniff your hand:D

But remember once it's on it's pretty much there for good so don't wipe it anything i.e clothes or seats:(
