is this really a vrs front bumper?

Featured Replies

As the title suggests!!!

Is the bumper on this link really a bog standard fabia vrs front bumper? It maybe because I've never really looked at one closely without it being fitted to the car but it just doesn't look right to me. What's all this business about holes for headlamp washers as well? Which vrs models had these? Was it a xenon thing? Can you block them off at all?

So many questions eh?

Cheers though!

Looks like a vRS front bumper to me...

Xenon headlights were an optional extra on the normal Fabia vRS... I loved mine! :D

I suppose if you fitted this bumper to a car without xenon's you could possibly either fit the headlamp washers.. or glue the caps off the tops of the washers over the holes and have fake washers :D

Yup, that's a vRS bumper, without the black plastic grilles etc. but it is for a xenon lighted model.

Filling the holes would be a sod to do, unless the washer jet caps could be sourced, and then it would look odd without the actual xenons.

But it's not a bad price.

Grr, must learn to type faster....

:loser: :D

cheers guys.

Re the price ... there was a rear bumper on there for about a tenner so I'm not too excited just yet. Yeh, I know the price of the rear one could have shot up loads at the last minute.

It's a bit of a sod about the washer holes thing. I don't know if I can be arsed with all the faffing about tbh. I'm still on the look out for a bargain front bumper though!

Whats wrong with the one you have??

I rested it against the wall when parking in my spot at work a couple of mornings back. It's not dented but the scratches / scuffs went down to the black / grey and the resulting touch up isn't perfect.

SotonJoe, if you go into the industrial estate in bevois valley, behind Aldi there is a body shop in there which is pretty reasonable and did a good job on an ex's car.

Might be worth asking a price as that could be cheaper than a spare bumper.

HTH

:iagree:

Replacing the entire bumper seems a little extreme... I'd explore the re-spray option first :)

ad say no matter what somethings going to have to get resprayed because i cant see there being many SE front bumpers lying there to sell can anyone else so he would have to get a spare bumper spray and fit and if he choose's the one he put the link up to hes gotta source the headlamp washer tops which i have never seen getting sold anyway but personally mate i would see about getting you existing bumper touched up

cheers for the advice re local bodyshops.

I'm sure there's no damage to my actual bumper, it was just scratches / scuffs.

If someone's able to respray the whole thing I'm in luck.
