Fog light warning?

Featured Replies

Well winters on its way and I had cause to use the fog lights for the first time, I only had a warning light for the rears, should there be a separate warning light for the fronts?, and before you ask, yes the fronts were on too, I checked

I'm sure it hasn't changed over the years: the front fog light warning light is incorporated into the light switch, and therefore cunningly hidden from view unless you make an effort to look.

We all think it's stupid, but such is life.

Have a new Octavia and the front fog light indicator is indeed still cunningly hidden on the light switch!

Cheers guys, this is my THIRD Octavia, never noticed it before!

I'm sure you've worked it out anyway, but just to add that if the rear fog light is on, then the fronts are on too since the switch has to be moved from the off position through the Front only position to get to the rear on position.

So if you're using the rears, then you've got the warning light on the dash. It's just a pain that you have to look at the light switch to make sure that you pushed it far enough to switch off both the front and the rear.
