Orange Oil Light

Featured Replies

Octy TDI Owners,

Does the orange oil level warning light show when you turn the key to start the engine. The reason I ask is that when you turn the key all the others come on but I don't see that one.

Just curious really, as that is one warning light that I wouldn't want to have not working.

Didn't know that the VRS TDI used citrus oil

ive just checked ours, theres a red oil can symbol on the centre part of the dash which lights up, is that what you are talking about?

The red one lights up on the left, but IIRC there is an orange one on the right hand too. I don't see it when the ignition is turned on, but am sure I have seen it once when the oil was getting close to minimum just before a service.

The Orange light on mine doesn't come on at start-up (not a vRS, but probably the same?)

Mine isn't a VRS either (I am an idiot).

It is ok I am just surprised that the light doesn't come on at all to test as it is a rather essential light IMHO.

yup looked at my forecourt tdi's and none of them come on!

Ta, was just a little concerned that it wasn't showing on the test, but must all be like that.

Thanks for looking though :)
