I was thinking of having my oct vrs chipped how safe is this and where is the best place in the suffolk region near ipswich.

If you get it done by a reputable tuner you should have no reliability issues. These days the cars are just remapped (replacing the code inside the car's existing chip) rather than being chipped and needing a piggy back chip.

As for the best place, check out the banner ads, read people's opinions and then make up your mind. I don't think there is a best place

Having cars chipped these days is a lot more safer than it used to be.

Companies invest that much money into it, and its such a big business, that problems rarely occur, and if they do can easily be rectified.

As said, there is no "best" place to go, its peoples recommendations that you should probably go on.

Revo are very popular, and have dealers up and down the country, and Jabbasport are highly recommended.

Also Jabba are not too far from you (Peterborough), so you could choose on location.

Whichever you go for, you will love it Im sure.

Hi ya, had the guys at AmD Bicester(01869323205) play with my vRS and let me just say, WHOOSH! Warp drive engaged. AmD have managed to get the power to come in just when it is of most use, Mid range. I have given one or two drivers of much more prestigious badges food for thought I can tell you. For arount £600 AmD transformed my vRS's already impressive 180 bhp and 173 fplb of torque in to 230bhp and 228 ftlb of torque. Amd are a VAG, Porsche specialist and all their work is fully guarantied, but to be honest, I had my vRS remapped over 4 years ago and I've had no problems at all. Money well spent I say.
