I think you will find that you need a KO4-specific manifold and downpipe and then play around with coolant and oil feeds (though the latter two shouldn't be too much of an issue).

To get the best from a KO4 set up you would need less restrictive cat/exhaust system (if your still running OEM stuff), a remap and mostly likely a better quality intercooler. Up-rated injectors/4bar fuel pressure reg will also help out. You could then be seeing figures of 260+ bhp and a thoroughly decent increase in torque!

To me £150 sounds a bargin if it is a genuine new item, but will be just the beginning of your spending if you want to make best use of it.

as above lots of bits needed mate but an excellent price on a new turbo :)

things required for fitment:-

turbo

exhaust manifold

downpipe

boost pipes

oil feed

oil return

coolant pipes probably

running simply the turbo and the above could get you to a reliable and realistic 240, add to it injectors, fmic, better inlet pipe, better airbox, larger maf and full exhaust to see 260-270 tops if pushed quite hard.

it'll be a lot of labour and parts though in the end unless you and/or your mates could do it. probably nothing in it and more power to go for something like a bolt on big turbo like an am04, jb04 or atp eliminator kit, the smallest eliminator kit easily gets you +275lbft

forgot to say along with all this you will need an uprated clutch, possibly better brakes and suspenion as it will show those area's up quite quickly.

for best bang for buck get some better shocks/springs, better pads/fluid and a remap, all this could be done for under £1500 and get you a realistic 220bhp and much more usability :)

i dont suppose the k04 was the ones that have been up on ebay for around that price?

I wouldn't really call it a well paid gain.

Might aswell go for the hybrid version of the K04, But you'll still need the same parts for that.

Remapped K04, No more than 240-250.

K04 will push to 270bhp, most TT/S3/LCR's get to that.

AmD certianly got a reliable 260-270 from the APX engine and sometimes more from the BAM. Proven on other rolling roads as well although I dont have printouts to prove.

is there a hidden meaning to that pic?

No, I was just admiring the tasteful modifications.

Looks Quite good to me.
