Spongy Clutch

Featured Replies

I have an '06 Furby VRS which has done 16000 miles. The problem is the clutch sems to be getting progressively 'softer' and giving less pedal resistance as I drive.

However when I switch off & leave her a few hours it returns to normal!

Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

you could have a fault in the hydraulics of the clutch or maybe the clutch cover springs have become weak

I saw Rogue Traders on BBC1 the other night and they were taking cars with air in the hydraulics to clutch centre's to see if they could find the problem, and most said they needed new clutches when they only needed to bleed the air out!
