stereo code

Featured Replies

Just been messing with the symphony stereo in the car and set the stereo into safe as per code and instruction, but bugger the stereo wont accept the code to reset it. Anybody got any ideas?

moral of this story is never mess with something that is working

If it is the original one for that car, they usually recode themselves if they are switched on and the engine started.

This may not be the case if you have been altering it.

Turns out wrong code supplied with stereo, will lock unit but not unlock, dealer not sure why. Skoda have supplied correct code thankfully:thumbup:

For future reference, turn the ignition on before turning the stereo on and it reads the code from the car.
