coloured spring in forge DV

Featured Replies

As title ive just bought a forge 007 dump valve for my VRS in preperation for getting it remapped and noticed it has a green spring inside and that other springs are available for it,what are the diffirence between the coloured springs and is the green standard with it?

Cheers

Green spring should be fine, fitted as standard...Use a yellow one in mine running 240+ now

Spring ratings are:

Valve Spring color coding

Green - 5-15 PSI

Yellow - 15-23 PSI

Blue - 23-30 PSI

Red - 30 + PSI

I ran a green in mine when i got it mapped.

I was told it was loosing boost after the map and to upgrade to a yellow spring. Ran the yellow spring for a while, but it jolted on coming off the throttle. I have now returned back to the green spring for a better ride.
