Hi all

I just returned from my friendly Skoda dealers where i had my cluster swapped for a new RS one with MaxiDOT.

The immo and key learning went ok, but now I don't get messages from my Nexus in the display.

In the menu I can choose between MFD, Phone (Original BT) and Setup - in my old car which was factory fitted with MaxiDOT I also had Audio and Navigation.

Any hints? It is probably to do with the coding, as the guy who helped me wasn't too familiar with the 5051 tester.

From what I can make out the Coding looks ok.

I'm assuming that you have the MFD2/Nexus switched on when you are looking for the menu.

Yes i do.....

I've been trying to defrag the coding for the CAN-GW and i think it looks all wrong.

Byte 0 bit 2 and 4 aren't set which means i have no ABS or Airbags

On the other hand bit 6 and 7 are set indicating Xenon and all wheel drive

And there are lots more errors. Does that mean anything?

So i went and did a long coding of Byte 3 bit 7 - Telephone fitted, but no luck

Aparentley you have to code the radio to use a cd-changer when using the original iPod interface from VW

Yes you do need to have it coded for a CD changer with the Ipod interface.

The autoscan you posted doesn't show any faults so I'm a little confused why you think it is wrong.

Since your basic problem has been solved (coding it for cd-changer is correct), allow me to comment on your gateway coding.

Depending on the year/make and model the gateway coding may vary depending on control module part number and software version. This problem has been this way for quite some time and until now VAG-COM did not have a way to determine that by itself, but we did have the long coding helper/assistant which gave you the right information anyway. We haven't had a chance yet to put the current gateway coding scheme online in our WIKI, so I will take care of that within the next couple of hours.
