I'm getting the same thing on my 55 plate VRS. Occasionally when braking the bulb waning light comes on and I get a beeping noise then about 20 secs later it goes off.

I've checked all the bulbs and they're fine, no VAG-COM fault either. I was thinking it could be a brake light switch or faulty ground???

Any help would be appreciated.

mine is a 05 and it' the samething as yours going to check at the weekend so will update soon as i have checked it out.

thanks Guys

If you find the exact fault can you let the dealers know please? I've been in 3 or 4 times for this, the last time was last month.

They kept the car for the whole day only to tell me that I had a brake light bulb out. Funny how all the lights were working when I took the car in, and the next day the warning light kept flashing on every time I touched the brake pedal.

Another thing is this somthing the warrenty would cover???

It should be something that is covered by the warranty but I don't have a huge deal of confidence in the stealers sorting it out. The last time it went in they said the bulbs\lights were fine and they couldn't replicate the fault/find anything amiss.

It is intermittent but it has to be caused by something?? I would really like to know what it is.

At least we are not on our own, more chance of finding a solution.

Mine has been looked at under warranty every time it's been in. TBH I would be pretty p'ed off if I'd paid for repeat visits out of warranty.

Well i just got round to taking car to the dealers to get the the break light sorted and it is covered under the warrenty but they have to order one as none in stock.

Fingers crossed it sorts the issues

Well I finally pulled my finger out and booked my ferby into Derek Slacks to get this fixed under warranty but part was out of stock to had to wait about a week so when I did go back they fitted the break light and fixed my rear wash wipe as well ( just reconnected the pipe) but did not expect that:D.

All I can say is Derek Slacks is thanks top job very fast

And the coffee was nice too

Highly recommended
