hey guys ill make this quick. im the proud owner of an 02 octy vrs thats done 40000 miles. its not had a cambelt so gotta have 1 fitted, is it just the belt i need or the full kit, and do i need a new water pump??????????????????????? any advise would be much appreciated thanx.

You may as well do the pump aslo while your changing the belt

You can buy the kits from euro car parts or the like of.

You can get the job done for you for around £250 from some of the specialists on here

Do the lot (Belt, Tensioners & Pump) Better to be safe than sorry. It'll work out cheaper in long run too!

top stuff . how much do water pumps genrally cost as this is gettin well expensive

hi there i have a 52 plate octy vrs and had the cambelt and water pump done last week at a cost of £341 broken down into £181 LABOUR £109 PARTS AND £50 VAT it was done at skoda but labour prices vary from dealer to dealer so check first i rang around and from liverpool to nottingham there was a massive 100 quid difference in labour good luck xxsadielouxx :P oh and now the piece of crap has died on me lol !!! oh just checked the invoice and the pump was£ 28.59

I need to replace the cam belt on my 50k PD130 Superb 5yr old. Your experience of quotes same as mine - told £88 + for VW kit. Presume remove radiator to gain access - not sure if need special tools to fit belt?

well long story short it does not fuel from shell ..anyone with vag com in derby area ?? ive had enough its deffo to do with the fuel tho when its scanned it comes up system too rich last time but hey anyway get urs sorted sooner rather rthan later and have more luck than me lol xxsadielouxx i still love it tho
