Radiator side grille replacement

Featured Replies

Dear all, I have recently bought my first Octy after threatening this for two years - it's a nice 110 tdi Elegance with 38k on the clock.

Well, I went to the car yesterday morning and some joker has pulled out the plastic side grille on the front bumper (drivers side). No sign of damage, but I cannot imagine that it fell out (after inspecting the other one) and I can't find it anywhere.

Can you recommend good place to get a replacement? More generally, advise on replacement parts would be useful (I couldn't find this using search).

I assume the grill is easy enough to put in, once I've got another one and that they don't regularly fall out.

Thanks,

Turbot.

They just snap in, and I can't imagine they would fall out!

Best bet for a single one would be a breakers.

I don't think it would be that expensive to get from a dealer. I've just bought a set for a vRS bumper and the small grilles were only £7.72 each. The Elegance bumper grilles can't be any dearer than that surely?

That's not so bad!

Simon, Where did you get your grills from for that price?

Got them from a Skoda dealer (Mid Cornwall Cars), they are the standard vRS grilles NOT Milotec or similiar.

Thanks for that. Sorry to be a pain but do you have a part no?

The part number for the left grille is 1U0 853 683, the right is 1U0 853 684. Again these are part numbers for vRS grilles and NOT Elegance grilles.
