turbo as we speak

Featured Replies

was meant to have the car back today from having the turbo replaced, but they have now said they want to take the head off the engine as the kompressor has broken apart.

Now crap from the turbo will either go into the cat or the intercooler, so one or both of them will be fecked, unless its gone through the intercooler and into the pipes which im not sure about, and surely the quickest way is to take the engine side intercooler pipe off and have a look, i was told that the pipes have oil in them too!

its all under warranty and im waiting for another warranty guy to look, they have had it for two weeks today and only started working on it yesterday!

what do you guys think?????

The intercooler pipes always have oil in them.

If the compressor has broken up then bits will most likely be imbedded in the intercooler and cat, may be pierced boost pipes, and yes, may have made their way into the inlet manifold into the engine itself... :thumbdwn:

However, taking 2 weeks to start on it is a bit of a poor show.

I guess it depends why they're drafting in a warranty man and how busy his schedule is.....
