Thought I would introduce myself to you lot! Been lurking for a bit;).

All excited now as lease people have confirmed delivery of my race blue VRS this coming Tuesday 6th. Its a Co car replacing my current Seat Leon Cupra 1.9 TDI. Have gone for a change back onto petrol and cant wait!

Hope the Skoda dealer network are better than Seat's though:thumbdwn:.

Have gone for jumbobox, 18's and cruise control. Reading the forums think I should have gone for the Maxidot:rolleyes:. Oh well could always retrofit it?

Will get some pics and feedback upon delivery.

p.s. Username is same as one I use on numerous forums if your wondering and refers to one my previous motors i.e. a concourse Ford Fiesta RS Turbo - We were all young once!

Does anybody posses a list of reputable skoda specialists or garages that people could recommend that aren't main dealers (I distrust main dealers) that are around north wales/cheshire/shropshire/powys? My Fabia VRS is past due for it's timing chain and it's also coming up to needing to look at the DSG clutches and I do not want to be bent over a table and royally shafted by main dealers.

This might be just a coincidence. But I have just had a new windscreen fitted following a rock being thrown up by a lorry's wheels hitting it, which left a small chip, which after a few days became a long crack and was growing. The screen was replaced last week, and yesterday I discovered the seat was not responding to the controls. I cannot see any fuse listed in the owner's manual which states it supplies power to the seats. The driver's seat is working as usual, which made me think it must b

Hi! I'm in need of some help please. My Octavia estate sat for 8 months unused. The battery went flat (AGM Varta) and doesn't charge. I got the car started with a different battery and then swapped in the dead battery to see if it would start charging. BUT, now the engine was running I needed to move the car a bit and found that the gear stick won't go into reverse gear. It can select 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th but not reverse. I've ordered up a new AGM battery (due in a couple of days) but this reverse

DIY ABS warning Fix

Yesterday our Roomster started beeping and flashing the warning light about the ABS. My first thought was to replace the ABS sensors – they are around £7 each and seem to be easy enough to replace by removing the rear wheels. I could also give the connections a bit of a clean at the same time. What are my chances chances of fixing the issue within 45 minutes of DIY work? I don’t have any diagnostic tools, but if this is a common fault with an easy fix it would be great to know what other peo

Octy 2 1.4TSI ESTATE CAXA Quite uncertain where to enter this question. The keyfob#1 has started to cause serious problems with the car alarm system. So far keyfob#2 is working with no problem. Car alarm starting randomly and only disconnecting the battery helped. Yesterday the alarm kept sounding/flashing even when the engine was running - undrivable. Is there a home cure whereby I can remap/reset the key fob? My very helpful auto sparks is unable to help
