Here are the Hella LED Lamps I have retro-fitted in their place although the pics aren't the best...

If anyone is interested in any of these lamps then let me know as I don't need them and would let them go for a reasonable price....

Do you have all 4? If so I'll take them if the price is reasonable enough! :P They are just over a fiver each from the dealers looking on ETKA...

(All come with bulbs)

How well would you say they spread the light? Is one per footwell enough? :P

Well the reason for me changing them was because I didn't want to have the yellow light so I went for white LED's everywhere to match the door trigger pulls.

The Superb as standard has one per footwell and that seemed OK but if you want two per footwell then I have enough....

Bascially all the lamps I have are the same, same lens, same clipping features.....they are just clipped into two different housings.....

I'll take all of them then, could probably pop one or 2 in the boot too... Whats the price?

Just need to order the plugs and leads, decide exactly where I'm going to put them, and I'll get a guide up. :)

Oh man! I am late! Didnt check the forum these few days due to extra work load.

Any chances of me just getting the rear foot well lighting that is located under the front passenger seats? Can?

Please let me know. How abt where to get the female contact to the lighting system?

Right...

Luckily the Passat had the holes cut out under the dash and under the seats ready to just accept the light units. I've wired these all up, however, the problem is where to take the feed from. The interior light has a perm live 12v feed only. The central convenience ECU sends a signal to the light to tell it when the doors are open, and I assume this controls the dim-down too. The problem is that the footwell lights can just be powered off this feed.

I'm a bit confused really - any ideas?? I could wire them up to the dash illumination quite easily, but I think having them on permanatly would be a bit distracting - any opinions on this?

TIA.

The wreck finally goes next week... to my bodyshop!! So good news is i shall see the end result Chris...

unfortunatly i already gutted the fabia months ago as i fitted the footwell lights to the golf.. which has unfortunatly gone too... but yup... looks great rear footwell lights in a Fabia...

I am so jealous! keke...

Like Baker said earlier, I think the easiest thing to do is to wire them straight to the door switches, old school lighting...

You'll loose the dimming ability as you said, but unless you fancy tinkering with the feed from the ECU then I guess it's the only way. Multiplex can be a pain in the bum sometimes...
