TT quattro gear selector arm

Featured Replies

Anybody know the part number for a TT quattro 5 speed selector arm?

I want to fit one to my Octavia 4x4 5 speed but not sure which one to order.

Simon.

If you knew the gearbox code for the TT it would be easier.

it won't fit, its a completely different gearbox.

the 5 speed on the TT is basically the 6 speed with a cog missing so completely different to the 5 speed on the octavia :)

Are the early TT 5 speed 'boxes different or still a six speed with one less cog?

as far as i know they have always had the fake 6 speeder, the 5 speed in the octavia is a bit of randomness apparently as i think its the only car to have it sadly. but the linkages from the FWD 5 speeds should fit. should.

A quick look through ETOS shows that the A3 quattro also uses the FEX code gearbox. It also lists three different selector arms for the 5 speeder, two of which are also used on the Octavia 4x4, the other on the TT quattro 5 speed.

Not sure if I'm getting anywhere or just giving myself a headache though!

I have read somewhere that Octy RS uses the same short-shift gear selector as the TT...
