Hi All,

As of yesterday, the wife's Octy VRs was showing the Service spanner and 2500, I guess indicating that it had 2500 miles until a service was required..

Today, as soon as the ignition is switched on, the spanner flashes and the gong sounds. If I push the trip reset without the ignition being on, the Service indicator shows 0 Miles, followed by a clock icon with -1

The car is only just over a year old and has 10K on the clock, so wouldnt have thought it needed variable servicing yet anyway..

Is this normal? I take it this means that it needs a service immediately...

Anyone know what the likely cause is? I've already asked her if she took the day off work and flung it around a track ;-)

My car didn't start telling me about the imminent service until 1200 miles away. Your car is definately on variable not fixed service intervals?
