iPod touch

Who's got one?

16gig seems a little small but given that it's solid state and ultra thin it's understandable.

I am thinking of getting one since my SECOND creative Zen vision M has been sent back to due to repeated lock ups and I don't want a third one thanks :thumbdwn:

So my quesiton is quite simple: What's it like? worth the £250 ish price tag? struggling with the measly 16GB space?

Any serious comments welcome.

T.I.A. :)

I haven't got one, but one thing that I think would bug me, if everything is touch screen, controlling it blind would be a pain. With the current iPod, I find it quite easy to change track or volume by feeling where the buttons are, without even having to take it out of my pocket.

Other than that, I think it looks super sexy! Whether it's worth the price tag, I'm not sure.

havent got one played with one in apple shop in london and OMG its superb i want one

Thats a similar concern I would have with the iPhone.

I can easily text on my N95 without looking at what I am doing purely beacuse I can feel the keys. You obviously lose this ability with full touch screen.

I am thinking of getting the 60GB classic as I am finding it difficult to part with £260 for 16gig of space.

But the touch looks sooooooo good!!

Ive got one and its awesome.

Yea 16Gb isnt the biggest amount of storage but be realistic when do you need to listen to a full 16Gb at once?

Thats my way of thinking.

I've checked my music folder and it's about 12 gig with about 2500 songs so it's more than enough. We all used to survive with 512mb in the old days.

Seeing as you have one you'll know this: what are the output connections like? I want an A/V output to play music and films on my MFD2, how is it done on the touch?

so is it worth it?

ive got over a years worth of points on a scheme at work i can get either a ipod touch, sony dvdr with hhd, or a sony camcorder, and ive not found anyone whos got one to help work out if its worth it.

the only thing is its only the 8gb version

You can get just a 3.5mm jack to jack cable if the MFD2 has that connection or if its a properl A/V connection then you need a 3.5mm jack to phono cable

I've been researching it and apple say you need a dock cable that has the RCA plugs on the end, either that or the version with component video plugs on the end.

This is quite an interesting page.

iPod and iPhone: TV Out support
