Hi all,

Well after coming back off my hols and seeing numerous black cars with tinted rear windows while i was away i'm wondering if people can recommend any good window tint companies to me. Preferably in the Sheffield or South Yorkshire area but i would be willing to travel a little..... 50 miles or so etc..... Also how much people paid at the place too if that's ok. :thumbup:

Yeh I had my 06 octavia tinted by a guy in Barnsleyand the tints came with a 10 year guarantee, he was very professional, he even disconnected all the power windows for around 1 week so i didn`t accidentally used them. The cost was £150 for the back window and both back doors. Pm me and will give you his address and phone number.

Just a little WARNING. I went to a Police/Fire service organised event last night and asked if they could use a window tint tester on my (untinted) front windows. They were SMACK on the legal limit, so basically any tint on the front windows of a furby will make you illegal. I assume the same can be said for other models too.

I have had mine pimp-tinted recently in Manchester.

Good job and reasonable too.

You can have your windows as dark as you want from the 'B' Pillar. Best not touch the fronts.

And it really helps keep the car cool if it's sat in direct sunlight.(Not that we get much)

Matt i've been past Protint a few times and always thought like you say that it looked a bit dodgy. Your the first person who has known anybody who has had work done there so i may put them in the melting pot too.

I seem to remember from my days on uk-polos.net that there were a couple of companies that were well respected one in the Nottingham area and another in the Manchester area which would probably be within my distance limits etc...
